With its Flywire-equipped, Free soled update apparently shelved for the time being, here’s a look at a new Nike Cortez Cheap. These old school runners are just for ladies, but the super clean nylon and suede design is sure to find its way into dudes’ closets. Both of those materials are done in the aptly named ‘Cool Mint’ shade of green, while grey leather Swooshes and white on the sole and sockliner add some balance.

That pair’s ‘five finger death grip’ special packaging remains one of the more innovative sneaker boxes on record (the Flightposite Exposed looks to have assumed that role this year), so this ‘Year of the Horse‘ Cortez has quite the legacy to live up to. There doesn’t appear to be a premium box with these WMNS joints, and it feels appropriate that the original Nike Cortez Sale could go back to basics while still utilizing significant detail on the golden uppers.

Today marks the release of the Nike Cortez Men “Aloha Pack”, a floral quartet of sneakers that dole out a rare graphic treatment for this timeless Nike runner. The floral thing has been pretty present across Nike Sportswear’s catalog as a whole over the past couple of years thanks to the ongoing Liberty series of collaborations but make no mistake-this one is all Swoosh designed.
